Sat. 19 @ 7:15 p.m. game - Huskies vs. Top Guns - Huskies won against the Calgary Top Guns 7 -3
Sun. 20 @ 9:00 - 10:15 - Practice
Sun. 20 @ 1:30 - 3:00 game - Huskies vs. Top Guns. The Top Guns played SaskCan in the a.m. and lost 3 - 2. After our team hosted a barbecue for the Top Guns they played off in a game at 1:30 and won 4 - 1. The boys had a tough 2 periods, but came back strong in the third.

May 21 4:15 Huskies beat Northern Alberta Selects 10 - 1
Overall, the Huskies had an awesome first day! We look forward to tomorrows game at 12:00 against Foothills Elite #1. Go Huskies Go!!!
May 22 - Huskies were challenged by the Foothills Elite, but prevailed with a 6 - 3 final score. They are currently sitting 3 - 0 and finished first place in Pool A. They play tomorrow at 2:15 in the semi-final against the second place team in Pool B.
May 23 - Huskies got off to a slow start this afternoon against the Foothills Elite #2, but came back strong in the second & third period to win the game 10 - 4. The boys' are off to fight for first place tomorrow morning at 10:15 against SaskCan. Go Huskies Go!!!
May 24 - Huskies met with the top team from Pool B, SaskCan. The Huskies took a strong stance against their opponent, today. Along with excellent coaching, the boys' determination and drive allowed them to walk away with a 7 -1 win and the Gold Medal in the tournament. Kailum, that was one great way to celebrate your birthday. Happy Birthday, Kailum!!!
May 29th the Huskies met with SaskCan for another game. It was a close game, but the Huskies were able to dominate and win the game 4 - 2. SaskCan fought back hard with some excellent goaltending stopping 37 of the 41 shots on net (our goalies stopped 17 of the 19 shots on net). Way to go Brett and Hayden!!! All the players were working very hard on our team and did an excellent job!!!

June 4th- the Huskies had a great day with two wins. In the first game they played Thunder Bay and won 13 - 1. Their second game was against the Manitoba Steelers and won 14 - 2. Excellent way to start the tournament, Huskies!!! Keep up the good work!
June 5th - It was another awesome day for the Huskies. They played two Manitoba teams and worked very hard to win their games, 13 - 1 and 12 - 3. They have now finished first according to the point system. They will play tomorrow for first place and the Manitoba Lightning Championship. Good luck boys!!! You can do it!
Update: June 6th - The Huskies prevailed today despite adversity and won the championship and the Gold Medal 6 - 1 agains the Manitoba Lightning, the host team. Good job boys!!! You guys rock!!!
